False

The German logistics-company attack happened in September 2022

Assessment

The Tokyo Reporter, relaying TBS News, dated the alleged intrusion to September 2022. Every source that gives an explicit year and traces to the originating Asahi Shimbun reporting places it in September 2024: heise (which cites Asahi Shimbun), ChainCatcher and News On Japan all say September 2024, and a ~¥26 million Bitcoin ransom. No public German charging document exists to adjudicate it definitively, but the 2022 date is contradicted by the originating account and the clear majority of outlets, so a reader repeating 'September 2022' would be repeating a transcription error.

What “False” means

Contradicted by primary sources. Reserved for claims checked directly against the authoritative record — an advisory that does not exist, a catalogue that does not list the entry, a directive that says something other than what is reported.
