An FBI-led task force arrested KillSec's teenage leader in Alicante
Assessment
The Olive Press headline says an "FBI-led task force" dragged the teenage leader from his Alicante home. Europol, the Hamburg police and Group-IB all state Operation KillSwitch was led by the Hamburg State Criminal Police Office and the Hamburg Public Prosecutor's Office. The Catalan government's own note says the arrest was made by the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Guardia Civil's Central Operational Unit in a joint investigation team; the FBI San Juan office's role was a request for collaboration that started the Guardia Civil strand, and FBI investigators took part alongside Belgian and German police. The FBI participated; it did not lead the operation or the arrest.
