At least 1,100 terabytes of KillSec data were secured

Assessment

The joint Mossos d'Esquadra and Guardia Civil press note published by the Generalitat de Catalunya on 1 October 2026 says authorities secured "almenys 1.100 terabytes de dades" (at least 1,100 terabytes of data). In Catalan number formatting that is one thousand one hundred. Every other primary source gives a figure ten times smaller: Europol, the Hamburg police, Eurojust and the US Justice Department all say at least 110 terabytes were secured on the leak site. The Catalan figure is almost certainly a transcription error, but it is the official text and is likely to be repeated in Spanish- and Catalan-language coverage.
