The figure is ShinyHunters' own, given to BleepingComputer with a description of ID enumeration from 3 September. FLHSMV's statement of 11 September confirms a breach and an entry vector and gives no count; BleepingComputer notes the agency "has not disclosed how many records were accessed or stolen." An automated crawl over roughly a day could reach that number, and the group's other 2026 claims have tended to be large but not fabricated. The state holds the query logs that would settle it and has not published them.
