Weak Evidence

About 150 Intermarché stores were hit by the attack

Assessment

Early figures, including a Reuters count and an initial Les Mousquetaires statement, put the number of affected Intermarché stores at about 150. Later tallies reported by AFP and others reached at least 300 across the Intermarché and Netto brands together. The 150 figure was an early, partial count that was revised substantially upward, and the group itself first said it lacked a definitive list of affected stores. A reader repeating '150 Intermarché stores' as the settled scope would understate it; the figures varied materially by source and over the first 48 hours.

What “Weak Evidence” means

Evidence exists but is thin, circumstantial, or explicitly qualified as weak by the source that published it. Shared hosting infrastructure between threat clusters is the recurring example.
