The €250 million figure was accurate as an operational estimate at the time of the takedown and is still the number most widely cited. It has since been superseded by a prosecutorial computation. The BKA's indictment announcement of 3 August 2026 gives approximately €330 million across approximately 2.3 million orders, for the charged period of November 2022 to June 2025. The two are not in conflict and neither is wrong. The first was an estimate made days after seizure; the second is a figure prepared for a court over a defined window, on evidence obtained from seized infrastructure. What is notable is that the later, higher, more rigorous number covers a *shorter* period — the market operated from May 2020, and prosecutors quantify volume only from November 2022. Rated Superseded rather than Unverified because the original figure came from the investigating authorities and was reasonable when published. It is recorded because a takedown-day estimate tends to become the permanent number, and here the better figure arrived fourteen months later to far less attention.
